Before and After sneak peak

Here are some pics of a garage apartment gut job/remodel I’ve been working on for a few months. Taking an outdated flower wall papered pad and turning it into a much more functional guest apartment. The kitchen was very small and not very functional. I took out the large fridge and added a under counter pull out fridge/freezer which gave the kitchen way more counter top space. Rotating the stove/oven into the galley wall of the kitchen opened up enough floor space to add a very functional and useful island for storage and top real estate to prepare meals. Before there was no room for an eating table but now 4 or 5 people could eat around this gorgeous island which offers more than enough storage for dishes/ pots and pans/ and small appliances.

The Living Room had this gorgeous “great wall” but was overwhelmed by outdated wall paper. I took pine boards stained and sanded them to look distressed and then added a light white wash coat on top to give it a bit of a weathered look. I love how this wall turned out and literally transforming this space. It gives this room a much warmer feel with the wood wall.

Reworking the furniture and replacing the large couch and armchair with a sleeker/ dirt resistant leather sectional really opened up some more floor space in the room. Helping to accommodate the new island as well.

Final project pics to come soon…..Such a fun transformational project!!!
